As a Structural Project Manager, you will lead the execution of complex building projects while ensuring seamless integration between structural systems and Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing (MEP) design. You'll move beyond isolated calculations and into a role that directly shapes how multidisciplinary teams deliver coordinated, buildable solutions.This opportunity is designed for engineers ready to step into leadership without being boxed into bureaucracy. You'll gain hands-on exposure across the full project lifecycle—working alongside architects, contractors, and MEP teams—while building the technical depth and coordination expertise that separates strong engineers from true project leaders.Core ResponsibilitiesLead structural engineering projects from concept through construction, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and client expectationsDrive coordination between structural and Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing (MEP) systems to eliminate conflicts and optimize building performanceReview and oversee structural calculations, drawings, and specifications to maintain technical accuracy and design integrityEnsure compliance with applicable codes and standards, including IBC, ASCE, and ACIManage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to support successful and efficient project executionServe as the primary technical liaison between clients, architects, contractors, and internal engineering teamsConduct site visits and field investigations, proactively resolving design and construction challengesSupport construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, and coordination with field teamsContribute to internal collaboration efforts, helping streamline workflows and improve project delivery processesRequired QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringExperience: 3–8 years of structural engineering experience with project management exposureCoordination Expertise: Proven experience working alongside Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing (MEP) systems in a multidisciplinary environmentTechnical Knowledge: Strong understanding of structural design principles and applicable codes (IBC, ASCE, ACI)Software: Proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, AutoCAD, and RevitCommunication: Ability to lead coordination efforts and communicate effectively across teams and stakeholdersPreferred QualificationsMaster's Degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringEIT certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license (or actively pursuing)Experience with commercial and/or large-scale residential developmentsStrong background in construction administration and field coordinationDemonstrated ability to manage projects with increasing responsibilityAbout RTM Engineering ConsultantsRTM Engineering Consultants is a national multidisciplinary firm delivering integrated MEP, Civil, and Structural engineering solutions.
