Registered Nurse - Cardiac/Tele Stepdown Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

12-hour night shifts, with weekends as scheduled.

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care in the Cardiac/Tele Stepdown Unit, focusing on monitoring and managing patients with cardiac conditions, including those recovering post-operatively from lung surgeries and other cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with cardiac diagnoses, including AMI, post-cath, and post-operative surgeries.
• Administer and titrate medications and drips as required, including cardiac gtts such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Heparin.
• Monitor patient vitals and interpret telemetry strips using Phillips monitors.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide optimal patient care.
• Manage respiratory treatments and equipment such as CPAP and BiPap in conjunction with respiratory therapy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• Experience in titrating medications and administering cardiac drips.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips.
