Are you a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) looking for a rewarding school-based opportunity in Illinois? We are seeking a dedicated full-time SLP to join a supportive school district in Clinton, IL for the 2026–2027 school year .

This position offers the opportunity to work primarily with Pre-K students while making a meaningful impact on children with communication challenges, including students who utilize AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices . Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Clinton, Illinois
Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract
School Year: 2026–2027

Assignment Details

  • Start Date: August 13, 2026
  • End Date: May 26, 2027
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday
  • Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Daily Schedule: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Student Population: Primarily Pre-K, with some Kindergarten students
  • Caseload: Approximately 40 students (subject to change based on district needs)
  • IEP System: Embrace
  • Therapy Space: Dedicated office space available, with significant push-in therapy services at the Pre-K level

Key Responsibilities

As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to Pre-K and Kindergarten students
  • Conduct speech-language evaluations and assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Create and monitor measurable IEP goals and objectives
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Support students who use AAC devices and communication systems
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, special education staff, and administrators
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation
  • Deliver both push-in and pull-out therapy services as appropriate

QualificationsRequired

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist License
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Ability to work effectively within a school-based setting

Preferred

  • Strong AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) experience
  • Previous school-based SLP experience
  • Experience working with early childhood, Pre-K, or Kindergarten populations
  • Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates may be considered
