This position will work very closely with the CA Controller to build the finance and accounting infrastructure and processes required to be successful within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is energized by learning and is looking to quickly grow their career and experience. This position will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's routine GL operations with involvement in annual audits, invoicing, accounts receivable, month-end close, and ongoing deliverables as it relates to customer relationships.The position is based at DrinkPAK's Santa Clarita, CA location.The well-being of our team members is critically important to us. As part of this commitment, we offer:PPO medical, dental, and vision insurance for our employees, 100% paid by the CompanyA cell phone stipendAnnual discretionary bonus401(k) match program, pet insurance, life insurance, and more.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the Company's month-end financial close (i.e. administer close schedule, reconcile general ledger accounts, complete bank reconciliations, post journal entries, etc.)Interact with other departments to confirm proper execution of routine daily transactions (i.e. receipt of goods, AR invoicing, and approval controls, inventory management and external reporting, expense reporting, etc.)Heavy involvement with periodic (daily & monthly) invoicing to include direct interaction with Company customers when necessaryPerform inventory reconciliations for Company-owned materialsSupport cycle counts and physical inventory auditsMonitor variances between standard and actual costs, investigating discrepanciesDevelop and catalog procedures and accounting policies to maintain and enhance the company's internal control frameworkEnsure adherence to GAAP, internal controls, and company policiesAssist with financial audits – pull audit requests and upload to internal drive and tax filingsIdentify process improvements in financial reporting and operations supportPerform ad-hoc assignments and special projects as assignedPlease note this job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without prior notice.QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or related fieldMinimum of 2-4+ years of accounting experience, CPG or manufacturing industry experience strongly preferredKnowledge of and ability to ensure compliance with appropriate GAAP and internal controls over financial reportingPrior experience with SAP B1 or other similar ERP accounting software preferredExcellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to effectively and confidently communicate with external and internal stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyProficient in Microsoft ExcelA self-starter who enjoys working within a close-knit team environmentProven ability to work to strict deadlines and respond to changing prioritiesPossesses superior organizational skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, tact, initiative, drive, and takes ownership of the role.Our company's culture is guided by our shared values of Speed, Intensity, and Purpose.
