Food Service Worker

Detroit Lakes Public Schools Food & Nutrition Services (FNS) is seeking a part-time food service worker. Come be a part of feeding our district's children!

Summary: Performs a variety of FNS duties according to department requirements, including but not limited to; preparation, serving, dishwashing, cashiering and clean-up.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Previous related experience in high volume food service
• Special knowledge, skills, certifications, licensure required:
• Knowledge of materials and methods used in food preparation
• Knowledge of care and use of cooking utensils and equipment
• Customer service skills
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to organize duties and utilize time management skills
• Be dependable

Additional preferred qualifications:

• Computer knowledge
• Ability to understand nutrient information
• Previous related experience in school food service
• Food handler certification

Schedule: 10:30 am - 1:30 pm (Monday - Friday) when school is in session.

Wage: $19.00 per hour with progressive salary options.

Building: Rossman
