Float Phlebotomist

Job Overview Labcorp seeks a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in the Oregon Portland Metro and surrounding areas. This role involves performing skilled specimen collections and providing exceptional customer service. Work Schedule Monday – Friday 6:30 am to 6:30 pm. Overtime and rotating Saturdays may be required. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 21 years of age. Clean driving record. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Preferred Qualifications Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 3 months or more experience as a Phlebotomist. Phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency. Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
