Job Summary:
Cardiac Telemetry/Step Down Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Wausau, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized care in an intermediate cardiac stepdown unit. Candidates are required to bring their Wisconsin RN license on the first day of employment. The position requires a minimum of one year of strong cardiac experience, with experience in Cardiac Step Down Unit (SDU), Intermediate Cardiac, or Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The nurse will work night shifts, with scheduled hours of 12 hours from 1900 to 0730, and must be available to work 48 guaranteed hours per week.

Job Details:

• Location: Wausau, WI
• Schedule: 12-hour nights, 1900-0730, with a guaranteed minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin RN license, BLS certification, ACLS certification, at least 1 year of strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU) and 2 years of IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience, Associate Degree or Certificate required, Bachelor's Degree preferred, recent EPIC charting experience (minimum 1 year), ability to pass EKG test within the first week of hire, and ability to manage change effectively
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Float: Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Additional Information:
  • GSA hours are not guaranteed during Orientation week
  • Travelers are guaranteed set hours per week, with exceptions during holiday closures
  • During flu season, refusal to vaccinate for flu and COVID-19 requires wearing a mask at all times, per organizational policy
  • Every other weekend and holiday shift requirements
  • Must be able to pass EKG test during initial week of employment
