Pollution Abatement Supervisor

Requisition Number: 74172 Purpose Of The Position To lead day‑to‑day pollution abatement operations teams as well as maintain pollution abatement equipment. Day‑To‑Day Responsibilities Supervise a team that supports equipment and processes, including procurement and delivery of raw materials and management of the pollution abatement systems. Assist with identification of cost‑reduction, capability, and capacity improvement efforts. Lead projects targeting cost reduction, new products, safety, quality, increased capacity, and other strategic initiatives. Coordinate production support efforts to maximize performance (selects, utilization, output) and minimize manufacturing costs. Actively engage in plant safety initiatives and projects. Adjust priorities as dictated by business conditions. Provide coaching to team members for professional development, particularly through fundamental technical understanding (PEx, MEE, scientific method). Work with team members to define and update career plans. Develop and maintain short‑ and long‑term strategies to improve process performance, achieve cost‑reduction targets, and maximize resource efficiency. Travel Requirements Minimal (less than 5%). Hours of Work and Schedule Monday‑Friday, 8 am–5 pm. Overtime is expected at times. Required Education B.S. or M.S. degree required, with demonstrated capability in an engineering environment. Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering preferred. Required Experience and Qualifications Leadership experience in a functional or project role. Three (3) or more years’ experience in manufacturing and/or engineering. Required Skills Ability to make sound technical decisions within and outside the area of expertise (good understanding of chemical interactions). Strong communication skills and customer orientation. Ability to work effectively at all organizational levels. Project management capability, particularly coordination of multiple interrelated tasks. Ability to multitask and prioritize work independently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Basic skills for data collection and data analysis. Desired Skills Supervisory skill, particularly in coaching technical employees. Six Sigma/DMAIC Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification. Knowledge of cost management (budget tracking/spending). Project management experience. MEE practitioner and supervisor training. Knowledge of control systems preferred. Soft Skills Work well both within a multi-disciplinary team and independently with minimal oversight. Ability to coach and develop others. Strong communication and presentation skills. Salary Range USD 98,662.00 – 135,660.00 (full‑time) depending on location, market, experience, training, and education.
