Mechanical Design Engineer - Switchgear

Job Summary:

Seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 4 8 years of relevant experience in Low Voltage Switchgear and sheet metal design . Experience with UL 891, Autodesk Inventor, Vault, and SolidWorks is required.

Responsibilities:

• Design Low Voltage Switchgear and mechanical components.
• Design sheet metal, copper components, and support structures.
• Support Tap-Off Units, PDU, RPP, and Main Switch Board designs.
• Create 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
• Apply UL 891 requirements and manufacturing/DFM principles.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams on production-ready designs.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4 8 years of relevant mechanical design experience.
• Proven Low Voltage Switchgear design experience.
• Sheet metal and copper component design experience.
• UL 891 knowledge.
• Autodesk Inventor, Vault, and SolidWorks experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and DFM.

Work Requirements:

This is an onsite position in Henrico, VA . Candidates must be able to work onsite and meet applicable employment eligibility and job requirements.
