Calling all foodies & tea lovers looking for some fun (and tasty) work in a fast-paced environment! We are seeking full-time and part-time candidates for morning, afternoon, evening, and weekends.  Ideal candidates are personable, persuasive, and enthusiastic. This is not a seasonal position but longer term and weekend availability is a must. 

About us: The Spice & Tea Exchange is a specialty retail shop offering a wonderland of Spices, Herbs, Loose Leaf Teas, Spice Blends, Salts, Sugars, Peppers and related products. Not to mentioned a Tea Bar for cups of tea to go! We are energetic multitaskers who are committed to creating an AMAZING guest experience by listening to our guests needs to ensure they don’t leave empty handed AND work together to maintain product production and store appearance.

Responsibilities

A The Spice & Tea Exchange® Employee is expected to:

• Ensure each guest receives stellar customer service and is welcomed into the store and greeted with our trademarked opening lines
• Utilize trademarked follow up lines with guests
• Maintain inventory levels throughout the store, e.g. on shelves, counters, and tables, in containers with merchandise and product while assessing store inventory levels; notify management of low inventory levels
• Price merchandise with labels, SKU’s, prices, and locations
• Blends and package products as necessary and where applicable
• Obtains merchandise requested by the customer, field customer questions concerning location, product information, price and uses for products while establishing rapport with customers to ensure their return and/or word of mouth advertising
• Maintain solid, accurate, and current product knowledge to adequately promote the product by reading applicable publications and attending necessary training activities
• Complies with operating standards and procedures pertaining to the daily operation of the store
• Assess and notify management of low product inventory levels
• Helps maintain store appearance by contributing towards daily chores
