About the Position

Job Title: Rehabilitation Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Inpatient Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Med-Surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience Description: The role requires expertise in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting. The environment includes care for patients who have experienced stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries. The goal is to help patients achieve their highest level of recovery and support their transition back home. Our facility is dedicated to maximizing health, function, and quality of life through comprehensive rehabilitation programs. The unit is designed to operate similarly to a medical surgical unit, which may involve high acuity patient care. Nurses are expected to assist certified nursing assistants and respond to call lights for patient safety. The facility accommodates a patient ratio of 1 nurse to 7 patients. Staff are required to take a mandatory 30-minute break and will have two 15-minute paid breaks during a 12-hour shift. Staff must clock out for the 30-minute break and are not permitted to stay past their shift without supervisor approval. The patient population primarily consists of adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation services with high acuity needs.
