The Therapist In Training will work alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team to support individuals, couples, and families in an outpatient setting. Under direct supervision, this role offers hands-on experience conducting assessments, treatment planning, facilitating therapy sessions, and monitoring client progress. Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments to identify therapeutic needs
• Assist in developing and updating treatment plans
• Lead therapy sessions under supervision
• Monitor and document client progress accurately
• Maintain clear and confidential communication with clients
• Collaborate regularly with interdisciplinary teams
• Adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality policies
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities

Required Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Sociology, or related area.
• In-training as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-IT), Marriage and Family Therapist Training, License (MFT-TL), or Advanced Practice Social Work (APSW) or equivalent in state practice.
• Experience working with clients with mental health or co-occurring diagnoses.
• Proficient in prevention, intervention, assessment, and treatment modalities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Skilled in conducting interviews and counseling with diverse patients.
• Competent in crisis intervention assessment and disposition.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, families, colleagues, and community health professionals.
• Possesses emotional maturity, sound judgment, and the ability to work well within a dynamic team.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with word processing and data entry software.
