Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Stepdown

Location

Fargo, ND | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-hour shifts | Every other weekend and every other holiday required | Schedule rotation based on unit needs

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments and maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with unit standards
• Administer medications and carry out nursing tasks within a 32-bed cardiac stepdown unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5–6:1 on nights
• Operate unit equipment including Epic EMR, Omnicell, and Alaris IV pumps
• Float to any med/surg unit across multiple facility locations within the Fargo area as needed
• Maintain active compliance with required certifications including BLS (AHA) and NIHSS prior to start

Required Qualifications

• Active ND or Compact RN License (must obtain prior to start if not currently held)
• BLS certification – must be American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIHSS certification – must be obtained prior to start date
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical experience within a large hospital setting (250+ beds)
• Willingness and ability to float to all med/surg units and locations within the Fargo area as required
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates living between 60 and 80 miles may be considered at a local travel rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiac nursing experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Experience working in a high-acuity, large hospital environment with demonstrated ability to manage complex patient populations
