Flow Inventory Associate

Position Overview As a Flow Inventory Associate, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining CarMax’s best‑in‑class vehicle inventory and customer experience. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment and take pride in accuracy and organization. You’ll handle vehicle receiving and shipping, lot maintenance, merchandising, and photo uploads, ensuring every car meets CarMax’s quality standards. Responsibilities Maintain accurate inventory by following CarMax inventory processes. Receive and secure vehicles shipped to CarMax and prepare title packets for transfers. Perform lot maintenance and merchandising, ensuring display areas are clean and organized. Prep vehicles for customer returns and loaners, including washing and vacuuming. Execute photo station process for carmax.com listings. Drive vehicles on and off the lot for repairs, storage, and auction support. Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area. Qualifications Valid driver’s license and ability to meet CarMax driving standards. High school diploma or equivalent work experience preferred. Ability to read, interpret, and accurately transcribe data for inventory records. Completion of Inventory Associate workstation certifications and assigned trainings. Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and work in both indoor and outdoor environments. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment. Pay The hourly rate for this position is: $20.35 - $20.35 Benefits Paid sick time: up to 48 hours per year, accrued on a per‑pay‑period basis, for full‑time hourly or commission/incentive eligible associates. Vacation time: between 80 and 200 hours per year after a 90‑day waiting period, depending on years of continuous service. Paid holidays: 8 hours of pay for each of 6 scheduled holidays per year plus 1 floating holiday. Holiday Premium Pay for work on a scheduled holiday due to business need. Full‑time salaried associates receive paid time off with no specified limit for sick, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, floating holidays, etc., subject to manager approval.
