Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 3+ years of OR experience and Level I or II trauma experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Details

• Operating Room unit with 41 ORs in a Level 1 Trauma Center
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift, 4x12 hours, 06:45-19:15 starts, with occasional float to 08:45 and 10:45 starts
• Occasional floating to night shift, no more than 3 shifts per contract
• Weekend coverage required as needed per unit needs
• On-call required as needed, approximately 3 shifts per 8-week schedule period
• Floating to other UCH OR units required to meet facility needs
• Case types include General, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastic surgery

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience required
• Level I or Level II trauma experience required
• At least one completed travel assignment required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with a broad range of surgical specialties including gynecology, plastics, neurology, trauma, general surgery, urology, and ENT procedures

Additional Information

• Circulate and assist with craniotomy and other complex surgical procedures across multiple specialties
• Completion of facility-specific training modules required within the first week of assignment
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates previously employed by UCHealth or its affiliates must disclose this during consideration
• Travelers who completed a full year on a previous assignment at this facility are not eligible for rebooking for at least one year
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract
• RTO is not allowed during specified blackout periods, including late October through early November, late November through early December, and late December through early January
• No blocked scheduling requests permitted
• Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility accepted
