Emergency ED Float Pool Registered Nurse RN PRN Nights

Overview Position: Registered Nurse (PRN) – Emergency/Acute Care Organization: AdventHealth Location: Orlando, Florida Schedule: PRN; 12-hour shifts; weekend shifts required; flexible scheduling; float to at least 3 locations Shift: Night Unit/Department: Emergency Department Float Pool Responsibilities Perform and document accurate initial and ongoing assessments to evaluate patient conditions and needs. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to address patient needs and goals. Administer medications accurately and appropriately as ordered; monitor patient responses and adjust interventions as necessary. Supervise and guide nursing personnel in delivering safe, therapeutic, and quality patient care; ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Provide patient and family education about the care plan, medications, procedures, and other relevant information to ensure understanding and compliance. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities High level of abstract reasoning to assess patient status, evaluate interventions, and adjust care plans based on outcomes. Basic computer skills; ability to navigate Microsoft Windows-based programs. Fluent in English (read, verbal, and written). 1 year of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting. Experience with equipment to stabilize and monitor patients (IV, central lines, pulse oximetry, NG tubes, Foley catheters, chest tubes, hemodynamic monitoring); familiarity with electronic medical record systems and pyxis. Education Associate Degree in Nursing (RN) – Required Bachelor of Science in Nursing – Preferred Licenses and Certifications Registered Nurse License (RN) – Required Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Required Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – Required Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) – Preferred Other listed certifications may be applicable as Preferred Physical Requirements Physical requirements: see organization’s posted requirements.
