Job Title: Warehouse Material Handler

Job Description

This role focuses on receiving incoming materials, preparing and packaging items for shipment, and supporting production by stocking lines and organizing inventory. The position requires operating a forklift and scales, maintaining accurate shipping and receiving records, and keeping the warehouse clean, orderly, and secure. You will work independently with minimal supervision while moving materials throughout the facility and creating space for new production lines.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials and verify quantities and condition against documentation.

• Prepare, package, and label items accurately for shipping in accordance with instructions.

• Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities.

• Assist the Warehouse Lead Receiver with stocking materials on the production lines.

• Move materials throughout the facility to support production needs and workflow.

• Create and organize space for new production lines as required.

• Perform inventory counting, organization, and stock rotation to maintain accurate inventory levels.

• Operate a forklift and scales safely to load, unload, move, and weigh materials.

• Keep trash bins empty and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse area.

• Secure materials and the facility by following established procedures.

• Read, understand, and follow written and oral instructions provided by the department lead.

• Work independently with little or no supervision while meeting productivity and quality expectations.

Essential Skills

• Proven ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.

• Experience with shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse or industrial environment.

• Hands-on experience with material handling, including loading, unloading, and moving materials.

• Ability to perform packing and packaging tasks accurately and efficiently.

• Experience with inventory counting, organization, and basic stock control.

• Capability to read and follow written and oral instructions from supervisors or leads.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing daily tasks.

• Comfort working both on and off a forklift throughout the shift.

• Physical ability to perform general labor tasks, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a material handler, order picker, or general laborer in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

• Experience with order picking and staging materials for production lines.

• Familiarity with using scales and basic shipping documentation.

• Strong organizational skills to maintain an orderly warehouse and inventory area.

• Reliability and punctuality to support consistent production and shipping schedules.

Work Environment

You will work in an industrial warehouse environment within a modular building manufacturing facility. The building is covered but does not have air conditioning or heat, so temperatures may vary with the weather. The work is performed under somewhat disagreeable conditions, with frequent exposure to dust, fumes, dirt, and noise. The role involves regular use of forklifts, scales, and other material handling equipment, as well as general labor tasks such as moving materials, stocking production lines, and emptying trash bins.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aumsville, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
