Location: Fort Worth, TX
Job Type: Contract (No Benefits)
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Evening | 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM / Swing | 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM
Schedule: 5x8 hours | Available 7 days/week preferred | Day shifts may also be considered for candidates with rounding experience | Onsite in ED or ICU

Pay Rate
Local: $84 - $88/hour
Traveler: $94 - $98/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking a Critical Care/Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacist to provide specialized clinical pharmacy services in the ED and ICU, including emergency response, medication management, and critical care support.
Required Qualifications
Critical Care/Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacist experience participating in codes and traumas.
BCCCP or BCEMP board certification.
PGY2 Critical Care or Emergency Department residency OR 5+ years of clinical care experience in ICU and/or ED.
1-year ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency OR 4+ years of acute hospital pharmacy experience.
Active Pharmacy license from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
BLS certification.
ACLS certification.
PALS certification.
Strong clinical experience in critical care and/or emergency medicine.
Experience providing clinical pharmacy services in an ED and/or ICU setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Responsibilities
Attend Code Blues, including traumatic arrests, provide necessary medications, and document participation.
Attend Rapid Sequence Intubations throughout the hospital and provide required medications.
Attend Code Strokes, review patient profiles, make treatment recommendations, and prepare fibrinolytics when warranted.
Attend Code Sepsis, review patient profiles, make antibiotic recommendations, and prepare necessary medications.
Review and provide comprehensive pharmacy services for all STAT orders in the ED and ICU.
Monitor the EPIC verification queue for STAT orders and orders requiring clinical intervention or iVents.
Perform drug utilization reviews and monitor for drug interactions and potential adverse drug events.
Assist in maintaining formulary integrity and participate in the antibiotic stewardship program.
Provide pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring services to the medical staff.
Function as a clinical pharmacy resource for hospital staff.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with applicable hospital policies and procedures.
