Registered and Trauma ICU (NTICU) Time Nights

Registered Nurse – Neuro and Trauma ICU (NTICU) – Full Time Nights Location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231 Hours: Full Time Nights (7P-7A) for 36 hrs/week. Weekend and holiday requirements. Neuro Trauma ICU Department Highlights Fast paced, fun loving, high-acuity unit Unique complex neuroscience cases High-acuity traumas such as gunshot, stabbings, severe car accident injuries Research and education opportunities Opportunity for advancement National certification preparation and courses offered, as well as initial test reimbursement and bonus Qualifications Diploma of Nursing or Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred. 1 year experience as a clinical RN or completion of an RN residency program required. One or more years of ICU experience strongly preferred. Registered Nurse (RN) upon hire required. BCLS upon hire required. ACLS upon hire required. CPI within 30 days of hire. A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process. Assesses the patient. Plans the care of the patient. Intervenes as appropriate. Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions. Incorporates age‑specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others' need for information. Maintains continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out‑of‑hospital transfers.
