In this role, you will be trained and mentored under supervision in the utilization of engineering theories and practices and gain valuable exposure to company standards and exciting projects.What You'll Be Doing:Analyze and prepare project designs, calculations and drawings for steel bridges; pre-cast, pre-stressed concrete bridges; cast-in-place flat slabs; and miscellaneous structures, with a particular emphasis on complex or specialized designsAssume lead role in complex structural design efforts; assign, track, and review tasks of technicians, designers, and engineers, ensuring adherence to project schedules; QC final work productOversee project design from conception to completion in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule; coordinate with other disciplines throughout the duration of the projectProvide constructability reviews; perform independent peer reviews on project submittalsReview contract plans and calculations from other engineering teams and outside entities to verify completion and compliance with governing structural design codes and contract plans and specificationsServes as the Engineer-of-Record for major, minor, and miscellaneous structural designsCommunicate high-level concepts effectively with team members, internal design groups, and external entities including clients, subconsultants, and relevant government agenciesBuild client relationships, help identify business opportunities, meet with clients and have client accountabilityParticipate in project meetings with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors as necessaryTake an active role in proposal activities, including write-ups and preliminary and final reviewsOther marketing duties include providing timely resume updates, project write-ups, proposal support, and participating in marketing initiatives as requiredWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:Bachelor’s degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE)Years of Experience: 12+ yearsMust possess excellent analytical, technical, and communication skillsSecurity Clearance Requirement:NoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
