Job Description
Dual-modality Radiology Technologist

Position Summary: The Dual-modality Radiology Technologist delivers high-quality CT and X-Ray exams to assist in the diagnosis or treatment of patients. This role requires independent performance of CT and X-Ray procedures, generating images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. The position supports both outpatient and inpatient settings with a flexible schedule.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent.
• Documented competencies in Radiology and CT.
• Montana Licensure (Radiologic Technologist).
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) advanced certification in CT.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Two (2) years of previous radiology experience is preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor degree in health care-related studies is preferred.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform quality CT and X-Ray/fluoroscopic exams and procedures as requested by medical staff.
• Operate with limited supervision while maintaining high attention to detail and customer needs.
• Assist medical staff in other departments during exams and procedures as necessary.
• Complete documentation required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
• Retrieve written orders and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of exams.

Schedule Requirements:

This role requires regular and sustained attendance. The position may require working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary.

Exposures:

Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation in imaging settings, various chemicals and medications, and emotionally challenging situations when dealing with distressed patients or families.
