Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Application Developer to join their team. As an Application Developer, you will be part of the Data Engineering and Compliance Support teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate resilience, analytical thinking, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Application Developer

Location: Jersey City, NJ

What's the Job?

• Design and implement Databricks Lakehouse / Lakebase platforms using Medallion Architecture and Unity catalog

• Build and deploy Databricks Applications with Python-based backends

• Develop comprehensive data pipelines (batch & streaming) on Azure Databricks

• Create full-stack applications utilizing Python, Django, Flask, and Streamlit

• Deploy Python services and applications using Kubernetes for scalable solutions

What's Needed?

• Extensive experience with Databricks app development and deployment

• Strong knowledge of Delta Lake, Lakehouse, and Medallion Architecture

• Proficiency in advanced Python development and backend frameworks such as Django and Flask

• Experience with UI development using Streamlit and deploying applications on Kubernetes

• Familiarity with data governance, lineage, and certification processes, especially with Collibra
