Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, fertilizing, and watering to keep outdoor areas healthy and attractive
• Operate ground maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape tools safely and efficiently
• Identify plants, trees, pests, and diseases to ensure proper care and pest management strategies are applied
• Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinkler setups to optimize water usage
• Conduct tree trimming and gardening activities to promote plant health and aesthetic appeal
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor activities to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment
• Assist with landscape installation projects involving hardscape features like pathways or retaining walls when needed

Qualifications

• Proven outdoor work experience with a strong understanding of grounds maintenance and landscaping practices
• Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment, power tools, irrigation systems, and hand tools
• Ability to identify various plants, trees, pests, and diseases relevant to horticulture practices
• Knowledge of pesticide management procedures in compliance with safety standards
• Familiarity with lawn care techniques such as mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and edging
• Experience in tree care including trimming, pruning, and health assessment
• Commitment to safety protocol adherence and maintaining a safe work environment at all times
