The Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine, Gainesville, FL, invites applications for an academic Molecular and Quantitative Pathologist.
We have over 1100 beds in the system and growing! Shands Hospital is continuously ranked among the top-50 hospitals nationwide in numerous specialties and high-performing in many more by U.S. News & World Report. Resources available for professional development at the University of Florida Health Sciences Center include leadership, education, and research tracks within a Clinical Translational Science Institute (CTSI), formal mentorship programs, and supported opportunities for teaching and research. Requisite attributes include a commitment to service, a strong sense of teamwork and a desire to train tomorrow's doctors. Gainesville was recently ranked the #1 city to move to in Florida by USA Today thanks to our superb weather, inexpensive living, nationally ranked schools, and multiple year around recreational opportunities. Primary service responsibilities include sign-out of a broad scope of molecular diagnostic tests including NGS panels, quantitative pathology sign-out, new test development, supporting the work of the molecular laboratory. The successful applicant will contribute to medical student, resident and fellowship training in
accredited programs within Pathology. Scholarly study and investigation in the applicant's area of interest is expected. Expected Salary:
Commensurate with experience and education
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must have an M.D. or D.O. degree, board certification in Anatomic Pathology or AP/CP, and
possess or be eligible for a Florida Medical license Preferred:A molecular genetic pathology certification is preferred. Special Instructions to Applicants:
