Registered Nurse - Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool

Overview The staff registered nurse is a professional caregiver who follows the framework of primary nursing and assumes responsibility and accountability for the care and teaching of groups of patients/families for a designated time frame. The staff RN directs and provides care to these patients utilizing therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation and other team members. Responsibilities Direct and provide care to patients and families within a designated time frame following the framework of primary nursing. Coordinate with the health care team to implement the nursing process and to optimize patient outcomes. Qualifications At least 2 years of pediatric critical care RN experience required The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations Preferred qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Licensure/Certifications Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California Active American Heart Association CPR Certification PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Equal Employment Opportunity The University of California is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
