Job Roles and Responsibilities
Lead enterprise capital markets strategy across multiple commercial real estate asset classes.
Manage all new loan activity from deal screening and term sheet negotiation through closing.
Oversee active management of a large commercial loan portfolio including renewals, refinances, extensions, modifications, and payoffs.
Lead negotiations for term sheets, loan documents, intercreditor agreements, and structured financing transactions.
Direct treasury strategy including liquidity management, debt maturity planning, interest rate exposure, and refinancing initiatives.
Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with banks, lenders, investors, and joint venture partners.
Lead procurement of equity, preferred equity, structured debt, and corporate capital transactions.
Oversee appraisal programs and support capital deployment decisions.
Participate in investment committee meetings, acquisitions, dispositions, and construction financing discussions.
Build enterprise reporting infrastructure for loan portfolios, lender relationships, transaction tracking, and financial analysis.
Partner with executive leadership on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic transactions.
Lead and develop high-performing finance, treasury, and capital markets teams.
Ensure alignment between capital strategy and operational execution across departments.
Qualifications and Certifications
12-15+ years of commercial real estate finance and capital markets experience.
Minimum 5+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing enterprise capital strategy.
Experience financing diversified commercial real estate asset classes including retail, shopping centers, self-storage, and multifamily.
MBA, CFA, or CPA strongly preferred.
Experience with banks, lenders, developers, REITs, or institutional sponsors preferred.
Strong expertise in structured financing, pricing models, covenant structures, and treasury management.
Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Executive presence with strong communication and presentation abilities.
