We are looking for compassionate and enthusiastic candidates to join our exceptional team of caregivers! Requirements of the Cook: A minimum of a high school education or high school equivalency diploma is required. Knowledge of Healthcare dietary requirements Previous experience to cooking is preferred Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen. Responsibilities of the Cook: Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines Inspect special diet trays to assure that the correct diet is served to the resident. Process diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Services. Prepare food in accordance for therapeutic diets and special diet orders Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other appliances Ensure all food handling practices meet safety standards and food safety management protocols Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area through regular cleaning, sanitizing surfaces, utensils, and equipment Follow food safety procedures diligently, including proper knife skills, slicing techniques, and portion control A team centered culture that supports our values of S.H.A.R.E.
