Ultrasound Tech - Perm Placement

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for a leading regional health system in Winchester, VA . This position offers the opportunity to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in a high-quality, patient-centered environment. The technologist will work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare professionals across departments to ensure accurate imaging and optimal patient outcomes. Job Responsibilities Perform a full range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures according to departmental and accreditation protocols. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Prepare and position patients appropriately while ensuring their safety, comfort, and privacy. Analyze and evaluate images for accuracy and quality prior to submission to the radiologist. Maintain compliance with infection control, patient safety, and confidentiality standards. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare team members to interpret and communicate results. Maintain detailed and accurate documentation within the hospital’s information systems. Participate in continuing education and departmental quality improvement activities. Education Completion of an accredited Sonography Program required. Experience Minimum 2 years of clinical ultrasound experience preferred. Licensure/Certifications ARDMS certification in at least one specialty required. Additional RDMS certifications in ACR-accredited specialties preferred. AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) required. Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology related to sonographic imaging. Proficiency in operating and maintaining ultrasound and imaging equipment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and medical staff. Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
