Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, age-specific, and culturally appropriate patient and family care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Develop and adapt comprehensive plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Identify and respond to patient and family educational needs through individualized education plans, applying adult-learning theory
• Serve as a patient and family advocate, encouraging participation in decision-making and upholding individual and family rights
• Delegate and assign care to other healthcare team members within their scope of practice and competency
• Communicate and coordinate with healthcare team members and ancillary staff to expedite patient progress and optimize workflow

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License required
• CPR certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Advanced or Intermediate certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of recent RN experience
• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in a specialty area

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Labor & Delivery or a related Women's Services specialty
• Familiarity with IPOC and IPER documentation practices
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-risk clinical situations and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
