We’re hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Houston, TX where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The role requires pediatric critical care experience and includes work across neonatal and pediatric populations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state respiratory therapist license in good standing.
• One year experience as an RRT.
• BLS certification.
• Required certifications: NRP, PALS, ACLS.
• Must have NICU and PICU experience. Level 3 NICU experience or equivalent pediatric critical care experience is required.
• Delivery room experience and NRP competency.
• Experience with neonatal and pediatric respiratory procedures such as intubations and surfactant administration.

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS certification (preferred).
• Adult critical care experience (preferred).
• Experience with equipment such as Crossvent, Airvo, Bunnell Jet, Drager VN500, Hamilton G5, Evolve Nitric Oxide, and oscillators (preferred).

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900-0700.
• Floating required to Adult ICU, Floors, Level 2–4 NICU, PICU, and Pediatric units.
• Scrub color/attire: gray monogrammed scrubs.
• Time and attendance enforced; must be clocked in and ready for report by 18:37.
• Scheduling requirement: 4 weekend shifts required per four-week schedule.
