Shop Technician

We have an outstanding career opportunity for aShop Technicianto join a leading Company located in the Kent, OHsurrounding area.

The Shop Tech 3 will work with oversight of the shop supervisor while exercising independence, performing moderate to complex repair and replacement of components of industrial machinery, including production machinery and finishing equipment for the commercial textile processing industry. Shop Tech 3 will display excellent electrical and mechanical knowledge and demonstrate the company's core values.

Job Responsibilities:

• Proficiently read and interpret technical manuals to understand and assess and repair equipment and controls.

• Independently use objective troubleshooting techniques to assess equipment issues and to efficiently create a plan for repair.

• Lead and execute a repair plan, correcting all defective components to optimal specifications.

• Leads and performs full testing to ensure the cause of operational issues has been addressed and corrected.

• Organizes and maintains workspace to ensure a clean and safe environment for all team members.

• Organizes and maintains workspace as directed by Shop Supervisor.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• Requires knowledge ordinarily acquired from a high school diploma and a minimum of 5 years of related field experience in an industrial environment.

• Proficient mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical background.

• Ability to read and interpret manuals, wiring diagrams and blueprints.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Able to work under pressure with limited time, direction, and guidance to complete work in a timely and accurate manner.

• Demonstrates persistence in the face of obstacles.

• Patient and professional demeanor.

• Ensure adherence to all Company Policies and Processes.
