HAZMAT Truck Driver / Lab Pack Technician - $7000 Sign On Bonus

Job Overview Clean Harbors in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Class A CDL HAZMAT Truck Driver/Lab Pack Technician to operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks/work equipment at customer sites. The role includes driving and non-driving duties associated with hazardous waste clean‑up, including handling, segregating, packing, and inspecting chemical waste in compliance with federal, state, local regulations and company procedures. A $7,000 sign‑on bonus is available to those with a Class A CDL, unrestricted and endorsed with Tanker + Hazmat. New hires will attend a two‑week Academy training out of state. Expenses are covered by the company and the training is paid. After training, the position requires 50% overnight travel. Benefits Health and safety is our top priority. Responsibilities Ensure health and safety by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes. Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as needed. Operate a variety of Class A trucks. Load and unload trucks. Perform manual labor on site to fulfill customer needs. Properly placard vehicles to meet company and DOT requirements. Maintain daily logs, timesheets, and various reports. Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules. Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state, and federal requirements. Observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures. Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned. Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week. Engage in site‑remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials. Qualifications Required qualifications: Valid Class A CDL, unrestricted. Hazmat and Tanker endorsement. Ability to operate a manual transmission. Ability to use various mobile devices. Perform required physical functions. Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical examination. Meet facial hair standards per OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard 29 CFR 1910.34. Preferred qualifications: Commercial driver experience. Previous Hazmat experience.
