Academic Program Specialist

Job Summary Academic Program Specialist – provides support for curricular initiatives and policies; serves as the primary contact for Health Sciences and Public Health undergraduate operations; develops and maintains the department’s public presence through social media and other outlets. Responsibilities Facilitate department projects by documenting processes, implementing projects, and coordinating activities. Support curricular initiatives and assist the department chair in monitoring student degree progress and success. Report to the Department Chair on program policies and curriculum activity. Provide administrative support, including taking minutes, managing document flow, and maintaining a database of curriculum proposals. Assist with class scheduling: document schedules, recommend solutions, and analyze enrollment. Manage program budget, process expenditures, and facilitate purchases. Serve as the point of contact for admissions, the academic resource center, and other university offices regarding undergraduate policies. Update department web content each semester in collaboration with the marketing liaison. Perform additional special projects as assigned. Required Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of program management experience, or a high school diploma/GED and 6+ years of program management experience. Work Environment Indoors, sedentary; variable work hours. On‑campus, in‑person position. Moderate noise level; no harmful environmental conditions.
