Title: Content ManagerLocation: Hybrid (Mon-Thurs on-site) in NY, NYSalary: $150,000-$190,000 depending on experience The Planet Group's New York-based Law Firm is seeking a Content Manager to join their team. The Content Manager leads a wide range of content and employer branding initiatives, including award submissions, high-priority website, business development and news content, speeches, panel outlines, talking points and other special projects. In this highly collaborative role, you will partner with colleagues across the firm to shape and deliver narratives that elevate our brand. The ideal candidate is a versatile writer and editor with senior-level experience managing complex editorial projects involving multiple stakeholders, and a passion for translating complex content into compelling, error-free stories that resonate with a variety of audiences.Content Manager Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Partner with Business Development and other functional teams to deliver multi-stakeholder marketing and employer branding projectsAssess, update and expand high-visibility content, ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic messaging and visibility prioritiesGuide content projects from concept to completion, navigating approval processes and communicating directly with firm leadershipDraft and edit compelling award submissions and external-facing practice, matter and attorney-specific contentIdentify and develop new content and marketing initiatives that raise brand awareness and reach target audiences and candidatesCraft talking points, panel outlines, speeches and other internal communicationsEngage with and leverage AI tools across content workflows to boost efficiency, creativity and quality, applying sound judgment, rigorous fact-checking and strict confidentiality standardsMentor, edit and empower junior staff to strengthen their writing skills and subject knowledgeOther projects as neededContent Manager Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and seven or more years of full-time experience, ideally in a legal communications or content creation roleDemonstrated editorial excellence (writing, editing and copyediting to AP style) and proven ability to manage projects involving stakeholders across seniority levels and functionsDemonstrated success in quickly absorbing and distilling complex legal content into concise, compelling and error-free narrativesThrives in an environment with shifting priorities, meeting time-sensitive deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously, including confidential mattersStrong organizational and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to excellenceExcellent interpersonal skills; a resourceful, driven and professional approach; a genuine desire to learn; and a commitment to team success
