The Royal Caribbean Group’s Workplace Solutions Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Lead, Facilities Management reporting to the  Senior Director, Workplace Solutions.

This position is onsite and based in Miami, Florida.

Position Summary:

The Senior Lead, Facilities Management is a Workplace Solutions role focused on the building systems and tools that shape everyday employee experience — comfort, safety, security, and smooth events — across our offices. The role owns the facility-based technology within Workplace Solutions' portfolio, including Building Management Systems (BMS), lighting control systems, meeting and event technology, security technology, parking technology, camera systems, badge/access systems, smart building tools, and AI-enabled building solutions, managing them as workplace amenities rather than IT infrastructure.

Based within Workplace Solutions, this role is the connective tissue between building operations, vendors, consultants, and project teams — looping in Information Technology as a partner rather than owning IT infrastructure — so facility technology initiatives get planned, delivered, and supported without disruption. Success depends on hands-on building systems knowledge, strong project coordination and vendor management skills, and the ability to translate everyday workplace needs into reliable, employee-ready solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Workplace Technology Oversight

• Oversee day-to-day performance, reliability, and functionality of facility technology systems, including BMS, lighting controls, meeting and event technology, smart building platforms, occupancy tools, parking technology, camera systems, badge/access systems, AI-enabled building applications, and related operational technology.

• Monitor system performance, alarms, trends, and reporting to identify issues, improve uptime, and support proactive maintenance.

• Partner with facilities operations teams to ensure technology systems support HVAC performance, lighting schedules, energy efficiency, comfort, safety, and business continuity.

• Support meeting and event technology/AV for conferences, town halls, leadership meetings, training sessions, and other events held within company buildings, coordinating with event teams, IT, vendors, and facilities operations to ensure reliable setup, testing, operation, and issue resolution.

• Oversee and coordinate security-related facility technologies, including parking systems, cameras, badge/access control systems, and related integrations, in partnership with Security, IT, vendors, and building operations teams.

• Develop and maintain system standards, operating procedures, documentation, and support protocols for facility technology platforms.

Project Planning and Implementation

• Lead or support facility technology planning for capital projects, office buildouts, restacks, renovations, and system upgrades.

• Coordinate technology requirements during project design, procurement, implementation, commissioning, and closeout.

• Review technology scope, drawings, specifications, budgets, schedules, and vendor proposals to ensure alignment with operational requirements.

• Track project risks, dependencies, open issues, and decisions related to facility technology infrastructure and system integration.

Cross-Functional Technology Collabo ration

• Serve as the main Workplace Solutions point of contact for building and event technology, security, parking, and access systems, partnering with Information Technology on the network, security, and access considerations that come with them.

• Coordinate with IT so facility technology platforms stay connected, secure, and well-maintained, aligning with company technology standards without taking on IT's day-to-day systems administration.

• Triage and escalate technology issues that disrupt the building experience — meeting room connectivity, badge access, dashboards, vendor-hosted platforms — routing them to IT or vendors as needed and following through to resolution.

• Scout emerging building technologies, AI capabilities, and automation opportunities that could improve the workplace experience, bringing in IT and vendors to evaluate feasibility and fit.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management

• Manage relationships with facility technology vendors, system integrators, consultants, contractors, and service providers.

• Coordinate service requests, preventive maintenance activities, upgrades, software renewals, training, and issue resolution with vendors and internal teams.

• Ensure vendors meet contractual obligations, service-level expectations, documentation requirements, and safety/compliance standards.

• Communicate project updates, system impacts, risks, and recommendations clearly to Workplace Solutions leadership and business stakeholders.

Governance, Compliance, and Continuous Improvement

• Maintain accurate inventories of facility technology assets, platforms, integrations, licenses, support contacts, and lifecycle requirements.

• Support compliance with company policies, safety requirements, cybersecurity standards, data privacy expectations, and applicable building codes.

• Develop reporting and dashboards to improve visibility into system performance, energy trends, fault activity, occupancy data, and operational improvement opportunities.

• Identify opportunities to improve automation, reduce manual work, enhance user experience, strengthen resiliency, and optimize operating costs.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Building Automation, Workplace or Real Estate Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting facility technology, building automation, smart building systems, engineering operations, or technology-enabled workplace projects.

• Working knowledge of Building Management Systems, HVAC controls, lighting control systems, meeting/event technology, parking technology, camera systems, badge/access control platforms, smart building technologies, and system integration principles.

• Experience partnering with IT and other technical teams on the connectivity, security, and access needs that come up in building and workplace technology projects.

• Strong project coordination, vendor management, communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with enterprise-scale campuses, corporate offices, mixed-use workplace environments, or multi-site facility portfolios.

• Familiarity with building automation protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus), IoT devices, dashboards, analytics platforms, and AI-enabled building optimization tools.

• Certifications such as CFM, FMP, PMP, CEM, LEED, OSHA, or relevant building automation/vendor certifications are a plus.

• Experience supporting capital projects, tenant improvements, commissioning, controls upgrades, or building technology modernization initiatives.
