Logistic Shipping Specialist

The Logistics Shipping Specialist is responsible for supporting daily outbound shipping operations through carrier coordination, shipment scheduling, and shipping documentation management. This role serves as the primary point of coordination between the warehouse and transportation providers to help ensure timely shipment movement and pickup execution. This position is focused strictly on logistics coordination and transportation support. The role does not oversee warehouse operations, shipment preparation, order management, or customer account responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Generate and process Bills of Lading (BOLs) and related shipping documentation Coordinate outbound shipment pickups with LTL, parcel, and freight carriers Schedule shipments based on information provided by warehouse and logistics teams Communicate with carriers regarding pickup scheduling, shipment status, delays, and routing updates Coordinate daily shipment activity between warehouse operations and transportation providers Maintain shipping records and documentation for operational visibility Provide internal shipment status updates to logistics leadership when needed Escalate transportation-related issues or carrier service failures to Logistics leadership Support freight compliance and documentation processes Assist with transportation-related administrative tasks and reporting Support continuous improvement efforts related to shipping coordination and carrier performance Scope Clarification This position does not: Manage customer accounts or customer communications Handle order entry or order modifications Oversee warehouse employees or warehouse operations Verify physical shipment preparation, pallet counts, dimensions, or freight readiness Assume responsibility for shipment accuracy or warehouse staging Perform picking, packing, loading, or other warehouse fulfillment activities Warehouse operations remain responsible for shipment preparation accuracy and freight readiness prior to carrier pickup scheduling. Qualifications Previous experience in shipping, logistics, transportation, or warehouse support (preferred) Experience working with freight carriers and shipping documentation is a plus Familiarity with Bills of Lading (BOLs), freight scheduling, and carrier coordination (preferred) Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and shipping/logistics systems Strong attention to detail and accuracy Preferred Skills Knowledge of LTL freight operations Experience with ERP/WMS/TMS systems Understanding of freight classifications and shipment documentation Ability to prioritize multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously #J-18808-Ljbffr Reach Cooling Group
