Overview
Registered Nurse – MICU (Medical Intensive Care Unit) in Lawrenceville, GA. Start date: 10/11/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,764–$1,861 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 12-hour nights, 12x3 rotation. This travel temporary assignment places you in a high-acuity ICU environment with a focus on aggressive patient monitoring, complex hemodynamics, and critical care interventions. The unit handles medically complex patients, including COVID ICU cases, with Cerner as the primary EHR system. Please note: No local candidates within 50 miles.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care in the MICU, including intensive monitoring, ventilator management, and invasive line care.
- Administer medications, titrate orders, and respond rapidly to changes in patient status, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.
- Perform bedside procedures within scope (e.g., central venous access considerations, arterial line management, wound care, and suctioning) and participate in care plan development.
- Document in the Cerner EHR with accurate vitals, assessments, therapies, and progress notes; ensure timely charting and communication during rounds.
- Manage patient safety and comfort, monitor infection control practices, and support families with education and updates as appropriate.
- Adhere to holiday coverage requirements: must work two major holidays among Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s, plus one minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve).

Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of MICU experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- CCRN preferred (not mandatory)
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in holiday coverage
- Cerner EHR experience preferred
- No local candidates within 50 miles; travel/relocation required
