What you will do:

\n

Candidate will maintain and grow a route servicing existing fire extinguisher, kitchen hood, e-light and pre-engineered and possibly engineered gas system customers. Inspect, service, repair and install 2 or more suppression product lines; emergency lights, fire extinguishers, pre-engineered and industrial systems according to safety requirements and manufacturer's specifications.   Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service-related items. As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service

How you will do it:

\n

\n
• \n

  Make recommendations based on manufacturer's specification and state/local codes.  

\n
• \n

  Identify deficiencies. Quote, sell, and repair on-site.  

\n
• \n

  Up-sell existing customers to new product offerings and services to meet compliance with current fire code regulations.  

\n
• \n

  Sell new accounts on the route based on the same compliance criteria.  

\n
• \n

  Meet or exceed quotas set forth by the direct supervisor.  

\n
• \n

  Call on potential customers to offer suppression products and services. 

\n
• \n

  Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities

\n
• \n

  Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

\n

What we look for:

\n

Required 

\n

\n
• \n

  Completion of High School diploma or equivalency. 

\n
• \n

  Mechanical or electronic experience

\n
• \n

  A valid motor vehicle license is required. 

\n
• \n

  Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and basic computer knowledge. 

\n
• \n

  Ability to transport equipment and tools weighing up to 40 lbs. 

\n
• \n

  Ability to work in restricted areas and adept at maneuvering ladders. 

\n
• \n

  Ability to demonstrate a high level of customer service 

\n
• \n

  Effective communication skills with both internal and external customers 

\n

\n

\n

Preferred 

\n

\n
• \n

  Previous experience in the Fire Protection industry   

\n
• \n

  Knowledge of NFPA standards and dangerous goods an asset. 

\n

\n

\n

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $20.09 - 27.59 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
