Location: New York, NY

Duration: 6 Months (Contract to hire)

Onsite Interview – 1st round – AWS, 2nd Round – Java, 3rd Round – Onsite interaction

Note: We require a hands-on AWS Solutions Architect with exposure to Java. While deep Java expertise is not required, candidates must have practical Java development experience, as this is an application-based project.

Notes:

• Solution architecture
• Give AWS blueprints
• Really technical and hands on with most of the AWS services
• Recent AWS exp is must
• Don’t need a DevOps guy, need a proper cloud architect
• Financial domain preferred but not a deal breaker
• Don’t need an expert in Java, just a familiarity
• Knowledge of design patterns
• Need an individual contributor

Job Description

• Expert in architecture disciplines
• Expert in architecture and design across all systems of the LOB.

Job Responsibilities

• Create complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design.
• Advises cross functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies.
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Serves as the function’s go to subject matter expert.
• Contributes to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies.
• Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that improves velocity and quality of output across teams and functions.
• Champions the firm’s culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
• Provides architectural direction and guidance for current and future state platform engineering efforts.
• Work closely with cross functional teams including developers, engineers, product managers and business stakeholders.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to nontechnical audience.
• Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10 plus years applied experience preferably in Banking domain.
• Deep understanding of Cloud Technologies, and in particular Public Cloud and AWS.
