Data Engineer - Marketing Analytics Platform

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with a strong background in marketing analytics and customer data platforms. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and workflows in cloud environments to support marketing analytics and customer data initiatives. This role requires expertise in big data technologies, AWS services, and modern data warehousing solutions, along with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and orchestrate scalable data workflows and pipelines using Apache Airflow and Apache Spark.

• Build and manage data infrastructure using AWS services including S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, and EMR.

• Develop robust, modular, and maintainable Python code for data engineering and analytics use cases.

• Perform advanced data modeling, transformation, and analysis using SQL.

• Design and maintain data warehouse architectures including star schema and snowflake schema.

• Optimize data warehouse performance through tuning and efficient query design.

• Implement and manage real-time data streaming pipelines using Kafka.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data applications and infrastructure deployments.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support marketing analytics and customer data initiatives.

• Participate in Agile development processes including Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.

• Communicate technical solutions effectively to stakeholders and support project planning and execution.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in Big Data Engineering or related data engineering roles.

• Hands-on experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) or Marketing Technology platforms.

• Strong programming expertise in Python for data engineering and analytics solutions.

• Advanced SQL skills for data modeling, transformation, and complex data analysis.

• Experience working with Snowflake and Amazon Redshift data warehouses.

• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts including star schema, snowflake schema, and performance optimization.

• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow and Apache Spark for workflow orchestration and data processing.

• Strong knowledge of AWS services including S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, and EMR.

• Experience with real-time streaming technologies such as Kafka.

• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for data engineering solutions.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
