Quality Engineer - Automotive Stamping

We are actively searching for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team with an Automotive and Consumer Products Company, in a key leadership position.

MUST HAVE AUTOMOTIVE EXPERIENCE - QUALITY - PPAP - APQP - ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS - 8D - 5-Why - ISO 9001/2015 and TS16949 is a Real Plus+

Fluent in Spanish is a HUGE PLUS!

We are a stamping manufacturing company that produces metal and aluminum parts for various automotive applications. The role requires a strong understanding of stamping dies, expertise in analyzing part quality, and excellent communication skills.

Prefer a Local Candidate or willing to Relocate. There is NO Company Relocation Provided for this Position.

The ideal candidate will collaborate directly with customers, leadership staff, shop floor support and sales, crafting solutions for both automotive and consumer products.

The role demands innovative thinking, a proactive approach and the Subject Matter Expert (SME) with ISO/TS systems. Successful applicants will demonstrate a strong track record in engineering and leadership, guiding projects from conception to completion.

Essential Job Functions:

• Work directly with Automotive and Consumer Customers, Leadership Staff, Shop Floor Support and Sales.
• Apply your engineering genius to conduct thorough analyses, ensuring designs are not just good on paper but are strong, durable, and ready for the manufacturing process. Work with Manufacturing for Prototype and Final Production.
• Take the helm in managing costs without compromising on innovation or quality, setting clear budgets for your visionary projects.
• Engage with suppliers to handpick the best off-the-shelf components, ensuring our designs are both top-notch and practical and meet or exceed the company’s quality standards.
• Lead the prototype build process with enthusiasm, overseeing assembly and testing to bring concepts to life.
• Tackle field issues head-on, identifying root causes and engineering effective solutions to keep our products performing flawlessly.
• Present your innovative design ideas with confidence during reviews, communicating technical details to a diverse audience with clarity and passion.
• Continuously help to refine and update drawings and models, incorporating feedback to perfect our product offerings.
• Keep your finger on the pulse of technology and industry trends, ensuring our designs stay ahead of the curve.
• Champion our commitment to quality, adhering to the highest standards and procedures that our customers trust.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to Work Directly with Customers in the Automotive and Consumer Space.
• MUST HAVE AUTOMOTIVE DIE, PPAP AND APQP EXPERIENCE
• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, paired with at least 3 years of Quality Engineering experience and a portfolio that showcases your brilliance.
• A suite of skills in MS Office and other popular design software, ready to tackle any design challenge.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, turning obstacles into opportunities for innovation.
• Stellar communication and presentation skills, able to inspire and inform with ease.
• Top-notch organizational and time-management talents, thriving in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are just another chance to excel.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD software (Solid Works) to craft detailed designs for groundbreaking new products and enhancements to our existing lineup, is a real plus!
