Our client is a significant single-family office in the Bay Area, dedicated to building a world-class portfolio for the future. They focus on thoughtful asset allocation and building strong partnerships. Independent and fundamental research is a core focus to drive long-term investment performance. The family office invests across a wide range of sectors and asset classes, including VC/PE funds, public funds, and direct/co-investments. They have a global perspective and collaborate with best-in-class fund managers and entrepreneurs. They are seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join their small, collegial investment team. This professional will assist in the due diligence and management of a sophisticated investment portfolio, spanning all asset classes across public and private markets. The family office is growing and there is potential for a long-term career within the organization. A substantial portion of this individual’s time will be spent on co-investing or direct investing, and a smaller portion on fund investing. Responsibilities Support the team in in-depth due diligence in investment opportunities, with a focus on co-investments and direct investments across a wide range of industries and stages Conduct market and industry research Monitor existing portfolio across various asset classes both quantitatively and qualitatively Work with external partners to maintain a proper database of institutional knowledge Conduct investment due diligence on selected opportunities Lead independent projects and tasks as needed Qualifications 2-5 years of work experience with demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities Bachelor’s degree with a track record of exceptional academic performance from a top school, graduate degree optional STEM degree is mandatory Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail, expertise in VBA or Python a plus Curiosity and experience in using current technology to create efficiency and improve the quality of work Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills Self-starter with good time management skills, sense of ownership, and can-do attitude Capable of taking initiative and working well within a small, collaborative team environment Highest level of integrity, intellectual capability, professionalism, and discretion #J-18808-Ljbffr
