Location : Dallas, TX
Salary Range: $70-100K (based on experience)
Overview
We are seeking a Property Accountant to manage accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial properties. This role partners closely with property management to ensure accurate, timely financials.
Responsibilities
- Manage property-level accounting, general ledger, and month-end close
- Prepare monthly financial statements, variance reports, and reconciliations
- Review leases, rent rolls, tenant ledgers, and CAM reconciliations
- Prepare journal entries and maintain balance sheet accuracy
- Assist with budgets, construction draws, and job cost tracking
- Review AP, cash receipts, and ownership funding and distributions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of commercial property accounting experience
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- Knowledge of lease accounting and CAM reconciliations
- Experience with Yardi, MRI, or similar systems
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
