Therapist - Occupational Therapist

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized occupational therapy services to patients in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities. Ensures patients regain and maintain functional independence through customized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized treatment programs to improve patients' functional abilities.
• Design and fabricate splints and orthotic devices based on physician prescriptions.
• Supervise Assistant / Aide staff to ensure quality care and adherence to treatment protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and progress reports.
• Use therapeutic exercises and activities to enhance strength, range of motion, and fine motor skills.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Occupational Therapist license in Missouri.
• Possess at least 2 years of experience in occupational therapy, preferably in LTC or SNF settings.
• Demonstrate proficiency in designing treatment plans and fabricating splints.
• Exhibit strong communication and supervisory skills.
• Have experience documenting patient progress and maintaining records per industry standards.
