Our client, a leader in the aerospace industry is looking for a quality engineer in the Los Angeles, CA location. Key qualifications include, 3 years of progressive quality experience in aerospace, automotive or industrial manufacturing environment. A bachelors degree in engineering is required.

responsibilities:

• Cross-Functional Quality Support: Partnered with engineering, operations, suppliers, and customers to provide comprehensive quality assurance across manufacturing, assembly, and testing phases.

• Documentation & Compliance Approval: Reviewed and approved critical technical documentation, including drawings, ATPs, manufacturing plans, FAIRs, and AS9100 quality management system requirements.

• Material Control & RMA Management: Oversaw internal non-conforming material processes (MRB), spearheaded customer RMA processing, and led rigorous Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) failure analysis.

• Process Improvement & Risk Mitigation: Developed product quality plans, PFMEAs, and control plans while supporting proof-of-build (POB) activities to optimize manufacturing efficiency.

• Change Management & Data Reporting: Managed the seamless flow-down of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) into the supply chain and maintained clear reporting metrics for departmental KPIs.
