Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Nuclear Medicine Technologist at a leading healthcare facility south of Reno, Nevada, performs diagnostic procedures using PET/CT and SPECT, prepares radiopharmaceuticals, and ensures accurate imaging and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, including PET/CT and SPECT
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to protocols
- Monitor patients during procedures and provide post-procedure instructions
- Maintain and calibrate nuclear medicine equipment
- Document all patient interactions and maintain accurate records
- Adhere to safety standards for radiation exposure and biohazard control
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnostics
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
- Certification by NMTCB or ARRT (N) – required
- Valid state license in Nuclear Medicine (Nevada) – required or ability to obtain
- BLS Certification – required
Preferred Skills:
- 1+ year of clinical experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical rotations considered
- AHA BLS certification preferred
