Secondary Math Teacher

Summary Moody High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary Math Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This full-time position requires a creative educator who can inspire students to develop critical thinking skills and a love for mathematics. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and accommodate various learning styles. Teach a range of secondary math courses. Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their learning. Foster a classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and a growth mindset. Utilize technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and progress. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and changes in the mathematics curriculum. Collaborate with fellow educators to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives. Supervise and mentor students during extracurricular activities, such as math clubs or competitions. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic performance. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Valid teaching certification or license in secondary mathematics education. Proven experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level, with a track record of improving student outcomes. Strong knowledge of current educational practices and curriculum standards in mathematics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students and build relationships. Proficient in using educational technology and software to enhance instruction. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment for all students.
