Description
Job Duties:
Service Delivery Expectations:

1. Establishes and maintains referral relationships with community agencies including law enforcement, courts, the recovering community, area health care professionals, DHS, schools, employers, and churches.
2. Provides information on drug and alcohol abuse and related addictions to the community through individual and group contacts and presentations.
3. Implement at least 3 strategies as outline by the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP) in the delivery of Prevention Services.
4. Maintain programmatic requirements as specified in grant proposal.
5. Understand and implement at least one model, evidence-based curriculum recommended by CSAP.
6. Prepares information for dissemination in the community.
7. Maintains records of preparation, travel, and presentation time.
8. Demonstrates knowledge of the addiction process and appropriate treatment options.
9. Maintains an active and ongoing contact /referral list including agency or individual name, address, phone number, contact person, and record of contact dates and times.
10. Demonstrates appropriate interactions with coworkers that promote a pleasant work environment.
11. Maintains client confidentiality at all times.
12. Completes documentation using the Department of Mental Health required software and submit reports to DMH in a timely manner.
13. Completes additional job duties assigned by supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
Requires thorough knowledge of the addiction process and treatment options available.
Requires excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Requires satisfactory completion of CPR prior to reporting to the work site.
Requires satisfactory completion of CPI within 30 days of employment.
Requires valid driver's license, auto liability insurance.
Requires completion of annual training in compliance with DMH standards.
Requires knowledge of the 12-Step Model of Recovery.

Minimum Education
Bachelors

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor degree in behavioral science;

Licensure/Certification
Ability to obtain prevention certification as recommended
