Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol in Brookings, SD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials for authorized personnel and visitors, and maintain accurate logs of entries, exits, deliveries, and incidents.
• Observe and report security-related conditions, including unsecured doors, damaged fencing, equipment hazards, and unusual activity, in accordance with site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Preferred: Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
