Position Overview

This leadership role holds full accountability for the delivery of high-quality nursing care and the operational management of an intensive care unit within a healthcare facility serving the Pacific Northwest region. The Clinical Nurse Manager integrates and coordinates leadership, management, quality improvement, and clinical activities to ensure excellent patient care. Acting as a professional role model, mentor, and clinical resource, this individual supports nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams to foster a collaborative and compassionate environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment, including adherence to infection control standards.
• Lead and coordinate all operational, clinical, and quality improvement activities within the assigned unit.
• Serve as a mentor and clinical resource for nursing staff and healthcare team members.
• Stay informed about regional healthcare issues and community standards, participating in strategic planning and implementation.
• Conduct performance evaluations and manage staff development in accordance with organizational policies.
• Apply appropriate disciplinary processes when necessary.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support unit and organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years clinical experience in a leadership role.
• At least two years of management experience in a clinical setting.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or related field required.
• Master's degree (MSN, MBA, MHA, or related leadership field) preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure valid in the region.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required where applicable.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required for Labor & Delivery and NICU units.

Additional Requirements

Successful candidates must pass a physical exam, drug screening, and background checks prior to employment. Compliance with regional COVID-19 vaccination mandates is required.
